Entry Fee Confirmed
The Entry Fee for the ITU World Duathlon Championships will be USD$200 per competitor. This includes Race entry, Opening Ceremony + Welcome Dinner, Race bag + product, Closing Ceremony + After-party, Personal Accident Insurance, and a Finishers Certificate with photo. All entries will be through your National Federation.   Final team size and full payment for each competitor must be received by Friday 26th August.

Official SCODY Merchandise
We are pleased to announce that SCODY will be designing our Official Merchandise for the Newcastle ITU World Duathlon Championships.  SCODY clothing is made by professionals that understand how important your image is and who have a keen eye for detail and design perfection.  They will be releasing a fantastic range of gear next month, which will be available on our website Merchandise Page for pre-event sales.

NSW Government Funding Announcement
The Hon. Sandra Nori MP, Minister for Tourism and Sport and Recreation was in Newcastle to announce NSW Government funding to assist in the staging of the event, supporting its production, broadcast and promotion.  Ms Nori said hosting this event would bring significant benefits to Newcastle and the Hunter region. “Newcastle will shine on the World Stage. The duathlon course will be centred on Newcastle’s beaches and harbour. People across the world will see Newcastle au naturale - only a duathlon or triathlon can provide the best tourism potential because the event course showcases the city, its streets and foreshores”.
