By World Triathlon Admin | 19 Jul, 2008

The final confirmations from all NOC’s for Olympic nominations have been confirmed with ITU late last night. Today in Kitzbühel, at the final World Cup before the Games, the draw for race numbers will be completed at 4pm CET. The draw will determine not only the allocation of race numbers but also positions of athletes in transition area. Athletes from the same nation will be positioned next to each other in the Transition Area. The pontoon draw will be done after the athletes briefing in Beijing with the ranking order of the ITU Points List as of Vancouver World Championships.

The women will be drawn first followed immediately by the men’s draw. The entire procedure will be recorded by the ITU television crew and available to view several hours after completion. The procedure will be officiated by ITU Officials, Enrique Quesada, Thanos Nikopoulos and Gergely Markus.

Details will be available on triathon.org as soon as the draw is complete.
