Hailing from the tiny island of Guam, Manami Iijima became the Oceania continent's first ever winner of a New Flag place wat an Olympic Games. First stop, however, was a debut WTCS event and none other than a 23-year-old classic - WTCS HAMBURG. Exiting the water alongside her idol Katie Zaferes will be one for the grandchildren!

2024 Montreal Para Triathlon Highlights
The rain came down on the 2204 World Triathlon Para Series Montreal on Saturday morning, but it did little to dampen the performances of the best in the world as the likes of Alexis Hanquinquant and Thibaut Rigeadeau of France, Spain’s Susana Rodriguez (B1) and Canada’s Kamylle Frenette won golds.The race would be the last chance for the qualification points to hit the rankings top 9 and guaranteed start slots for Paris 2024 and, further down the rankings, there was a huge win for Italy’s Giuseppe Romele H1 to launch him into 7th in the men’s PTWC qualification, and Brazil’s Leticia Freitas B1 climbed into 8th place in the women’s PTVI rankings despite narrowly missing the podium after Chloe MacCombe B3 (IRL) edged a tight sprint finish down the blue carpet. | 03:37

Tiszy Turns 25 - Quarter of a Century of the Tiszaujvaros World Cup
TISZY TURNS 25 is the tragic and triumphant story of a triathlon classic.
In the early 1990s, the Hungarian city of Tiszaujvaros hosted its first swim-bike-run event, unwittingly kicking off a chain of events that would see this tiny industrial town become the very heart of Hungarian triathlon.
The first World Cup there was held in 1997, won by Australian duo Craig Walton and Emma Carney. Gwen Jorgensen and Jan Frodeno, Javier Gomez and Katie Zaferes have all raced here, and at Paris 2024, the city will give rise to its first home-grown Olympian - Csongor Lehmann - 25 years after that inaugural World Cup. San Francisco T100 highlights
Recap all the action from the first ever San Francisco T100. The 100km T100 race (2km swim, 80km bike, 18km run) was set in the stunning San Francisco Bay area, with the athletes starting in time-honored fashion by plunging into the icy water adjacent to Alcatraz Island.
Since the first race in 1981, the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon has hosted top professional and amateur triathletes to attempt the impossible – Escape from Alcatraz Island. The infamy of Alcatraz Island is part of the attraction that draws more than 2,000 triathletes to San Francisco year after year. The challenging course has continued to be a bucket list race for triathletes for more than 40 years.
