Tambin texto en espaol. Jan “Frodo” Frodeno gave us some of his time to sit down and answer our 5 x 5 series of quesions. 2007 will be a big year for Jan with the 2007 BG Triathlon World Championships in his home country of Germany.

1. How was your 2006 season?
- For me 2006 was the most successful year of my career so far. I managed to get on the podium in 3 world cups, which was amazing. Also I learnt a lot which will be valuable for the rest of my time in the sport.

2. What was the most remarkable moment of your season?
- Probably my sprint finish in Hungary - it was the first time I was really close winning a major race.

3. What was the worst moment of your 2006 season?
- I would have to say that the world championships where the hardest blow for me- all season I tried to focus on this race and in the end I missed my expectations by a long way.

4. How/Where/With whom do you spend the Christmas?
- Christmas is always family time- it doesn’t matter where as long as the family is together on the night of the 24th.

5. What are your plans for 2007?
- With worlds being at home, Hamburg is my major focus for the up and comming season. Also we have the chance to qualify for the Olympic Games here, so I will put all I have into the preparation of and the race itself!

Jan Frodo Frodeno nos cedi algo de su tiempo para sentarse a responder a nuestra serie de preguntas 5 x 5. El 2007 ser un gran ao para Jan con la celebracin del Campeonato del Mundo de Triatln BG 2007 en su tierra natal, Alemania.

1. Como ha sido tu temporada 2006?
-Para mi el 2006 ha sido de lejos el ao de ms xito de mi carrera. Logr subirme al podio en 3 copas del mundo, lo que fue sorprendente. Tambin aprend mucho lo que ser de gran valor para el resto de mi tiempo como deportista.

2. Cual ha sido el mejor momento de tu temporada?
- Probablemente mi sprint final en Hungra fue la primera vez que estuve tan cerca de ganar un prueba de esa categora.

3. Cul fue el peor momento de la temporada 2006?
- Debera decir que el campeonato del mundo donde me acompa la mala suerte. Toda la temporada intent centrarme en esa carrera y al final no cumpl con mis expectativas por mucho.

4. Como/Dnde/Con quin pasars las navidades?
- Las navidades son siempre tiempo para pasar en familia, no importa donde siempre que la familia est reunida la noche del 24.

5. Cuales son tus planes para 2007?
- Con el campeonato del mundo siendo en casa, Hamburgo es mi principal objetivo para esta temporada. Tambin tenemos la oportunidad de puntuar para la clasificacin de los Juegos Olmpicos ah, as que pondr todo lo que tengo en la preparacin para la carrera y en la carrera misma!
